| A homeowner in southwestern Missouri shot and killed a suspect in a home invasion, sheriff’s officials there said. The break-in happened in a residential area near Willard. Greene County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home for a report of a burglary in progress. When deputies arrived at the home, the found a man dead inside, officials said. | An attempted home invasion was stopped by an armed mother who opened fire on the intruder, Sugar Land police said. The woman had her 8-year-old child with her in the home — neither was physically hurt. According to Assistant Chief of Police Michelle Allen, the woman told police she was asleep when she heard a noise at her back door. | A teen shot and killed by a woman he was trying to rob was no stranger to police. Surveillance video shows a woman waiting at a bus stop.
