  A disabled woman shot an intruder after two males tried to break into her home. Harris County deputies said an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old male broke a resident's patio door window. A woman with a concealed-carry permit stopped a robbery after exchanging gunfire with the would-be robber in Little Village on the Southwest Side. The woman was standing in front of her home when a male approached her with a gun and demanded her property, Chicago police said. An El Cerrito homeowner fatally shot a suspect as he attempted to break into the man’s residence early Saturday morning, authorities said. A woman called the 911 dispatch center, telling them she was huddled with her young daughter in a bedroom while her armed husband had gone to confront someone trying to break into their home. Arriving officers were told the husband had confronted the intruder as he attempted to enter the home via a glass door. The homeowner told police he shouted at the intruder, but the suspect didn’t respond. The Sheriff said the homeowner approached the suspect after hearing loud banging. The homeowner says the suspect reached down to his waist at which time the homeowner fired four or five shots, hitting the suspect in the head, shoulder, arm and leg. According to the Greensboro Police Department, an 18-year-old tried to rob at gunpoint a convenience store. "There were three or four customers in the store. And the guy came in and put the gun on all the customers, made everyone come [behind the counter] at gunpoint," according to one of the store owners.
